Jeremy is a certifying plumber, drainlayer and gasfitter. He has been in the industry since 1995 when he started sweeping the workshop floor for B H Heron Ltd in Henderson, Auckland, one day a week. His apprenticeship spanned commercial applications across Auckland and residential maintenance out west. On shifting to Wellington in 2001 he took up a role with Plumbers Supreme in Newtown, run by brothers Michael and Robert Christenhusz, where he became conversant with gasfitting and stayed until starting Straight Flush Plumbing in 2007.

Ngaire has been part of Straight Flush since the beginning, moving into the business more or less full time from 2008. Prior to that she had spent nine years in the banking industry, mainly in analyst and operations roles in Business Banking. Her strengths in administration, finance and IT set the business up well for growth.

Ngaire received scholarships to attend the Icehouse Owner Manager Programme, EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women, and was the first candidate on the Future Governance Programme for NZPM Cooperative, better known for it’s main brand, Plumbing World. She went on to be appointed as a director on the board, serving from 2019-2020.
